CBI APOLOGISES FOR FILING CHARGES AFTER THIRTY ONE YEARS
A CBI spokesperson apologised for filing charges in the ammonia case after thirty one years. “We had successfully prevented any action for three decades, but all our efforts were undone by certain misguided junior elements. Four of the accused have thankfully passed away, but three still survive, placing us in the unfortunate position of persecuting the elderly. Stringent measures are being adopted to prevent a recurrence of such misdeeds.”
CBI sources confirmed that an internal investigation is being launched, results of which are expected within twenty five years.
