NATION REJOICES AFTER CHIDAMBARAN RESUMES AS FINANCE MINISTER

Sonia Gandhi’s pet dog, Nation, was observed to be in high spirits, after the elevation of formerly disgraced former Finance Minister P.A. Chidambaran to the position of Finance Minister.

“He’s been asking for extra pizza,” said Royal Dog Handler Renuka Chowdhury, “And he doesn’t bark so much when you say ‘Maoist!’”

Ministerial sources denied that Chidambaran planned to visit Nation this afternoon with gifts of mineral water and ice-cream.

“That would be tantamount to political suicide,” said his PA. “Nation prefers gelato.”
