Many physicists today postulate the existence of multiple universes, even when sober. We used to live in a world of infinite possibilities. Now we live in an infinite number of worlds. India shines. Democracy thrives. The economy booms. A hundred flyovers bloom. This is not that India. If you see your picture here one day, don’t worry. That’s not you.
In news that we cannot mock, as per the law, legendary management school IIPM has changed its slogan from ‘Dare to think beyond IIMs’ to ‘Dare to think beyond free speech.’ This was shortly after their successful legal action, which has led to the blocking of 77 URLs containing articles which dared to criticize IIPM, including notices issued by the University Grants Commission
“UGC can supervise,” said Professor Arindam Chaudhuri, whose tailor was recently executed for ‘crimes against humanity. “But they cannot criticize. Otherwise they are not letting me discover the diamond in me. For the other websites, I have no sympathy. A reputed institution like IIPM should not be maligned by notorious evildoers such as the Economic Times and the Wall Street Journal. I would urge other victims to take similar steps. They should not be allowed to spread misinformation. We are already doing that. Too much misinformation will unnecessarily confuse the public.”
In related news, the Indian Poultry Farmers’ Association has sued Professor Chaudhuri for malpractice, after faithfully following the advice in his bestseller, ‘Count your chickens before they hatch’.
“It doesn’t seem to be working,” said a spokesperson of IPFA.
