Many physicists today postulate the existence of multiple universes, even when sober. We used to live in a world of infinite possibilities. Now we live in an infinite number of worlds. India shines. Democracy thrives. The economy booms. A hundred flyovers bloom. This is not that India. If you see your picture here one day, don’t worry. That’s not you.

Mama, can we get the car
A big, red, flashie light?
Flish! Flash! The light will go
Such a pretty sight
If police are on the lookout
It can keep us out of sight
Also very useful
If we have to catch a flight
Look, look there goes one of them!
Quick, get to the side.
If he comes and stops here
You don’t want to take a ride
Why can’t we be more like him?
And make them all give side?
Even when he gets out, see
He’s walking very wide
Mama, what does papa do?
Is our future bright?
